Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are a lot of movies out there based around the winter and/or holiday season. Every year new ones come out and I try to watch as many as I can. While that’s so, there are a lot of movies that I can’t get enough of. Just a little note, I’m the worse when it comes to explaining most things so I hope I do this right.

Single All The Way (Netflix)

Out of all the movies I’ve seen I felt like I had to put this first. One because it’s about an LGBTQIA+ black man and two the movie is amazing in all the right ways. From the first time I saw the trailer, I knew I had to watch it as soon as it came out which is exactly what I did. To put it short, the movie is about Nick who doesn’t want to go home alone for the holidays so he asks his best friend if he can join him.

Noelle (Disney+)

There are a few movies out there that involve the family of Santa Clause and Noelle is one of my favorites. It’s a cute and funny movie that pulls on the heartstrings which is one of the reasons why I love the movie so much. Noelle is the story bout a woman named Noelle (Anna Kendrick) who has always loved the holidays. She has dreams about doing something amazing and being someone of importance in life.

This Christmas

I will admit that I might be biased with this movie as it stars people like Loretta Devine, Chris Brown, and Lauren London. That aside, this movie is one of my favorites because it’s about a black family coming together for the holidays. It has an equal and good amount of both comedy and even drama. Also, Chris Brown sings in the movie which is an extra plus in my book.

The Princess Switch (Netflix)

This one involves not just the first The Princess Switch but all three movies. It’s one of my favorite film series, in general. One of the reasons is because it stars Vanessa Hudgens, who in my opinion is a good actress. Another reason why I enjoy the movie so much is because the story is about two women from two different worlds who look identical to one another. One is a baker and the other is a duchess.

A Christmas Dance Reunion

This movie should probably be higher up but I didn’t think about it until just now. I was sitting here and something rang in my head that Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman starred in a movie together again. One can say that it’s the number one reason why this movie is one of my favorites. I loved their dynamic. Another reason I love the movie is because it’s one of those childhood friendship movies. The movie is about two people who had been childhood danc3 partners and tgem trying to save a Christmas tradition.

There you have it, a few of my favorite holiday movies. I have a lot of them but I wanted to go with some that I know not many people heard of or seen. Do you have any favorite holiday movies that you enjoy watching every holiday season? Or some that you wouldn’t call a favorite but you can say that you like?
