Winter is here. I will admit I used to not like the winter season but throughout the years it’s become my favorite season. I was going to do a few blog posts about the season but I feel as if it can wait another time. Today I’ll be doing a winter tag. This set of tag questions was created by Deandra who runs The Black Princess Diaries Blog.
- What is your favorite winter activity?
Honestly, I don’t have a favorite winter activity. There are a lot of things that I’ve wanted to do during the winter that I’ve never done before. Correction, now that I think about it, my favorite winter activity would have to be lounging around in one of my favorite blankets and watching holiday movies or holiday-centered TV show episodes. - Do you enjoy the snow?
I do enjoy the snow. I’ve never seen snow stick for days and snow falling for several days but when I’m watching movies and tv shows that involve snow, it’s always an amazing sight to witness. - Favorite hot drink after being out in the cold?
Hot chocolate. My favorite and the only hot drink I can say that I drink is hot chocolate. I don’t like coffee or tea in any type of way, shape, or form. All I need is a cup or mug of hot chocolate with some marshmallows and I’m happy. - Is winter your favorite season? Why or why not?
I answered this question above or rather the first part of the question. Winter is 100% my favorite season of the year. I don’t remember when it shifted from spring to winter but it did. The main and first reason why I love the winter is because it’s cold. Well, where I’m at we go through every season within one season so it’s not always cold. However, on our cold days sometimes it gets really cold which I love immensely. Another reason why I love winter is the holiday lights. I love seeing places like the Atlanta Botanical Gardens’ holiday lights and changing colors along with other buildings. And the houses? Some people go far and beyond when it comes to decorating their houses and even apartments with holiday lights. - Whatβs your favorite winter memory?
My favorite winter memory would have to be the winter when I celebrated Kwanza. It was when I was with my high school boyfriend. His family always celebrated Kwanza and at the time they had wanted me to celebrate it with them. I’ve always been fascinated and in love with the holiday since I was in elementary school and we had to do a project about one of the days. It was time but I think my favorite part was when I got to light a candle and speak on one of the seven principles. At least I think that happened. I could’ve dreamt that part happening. - Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?
A white Christmas in the part of Georgia where I’m located would be a miracle. Honestly, snow in a majority of cities here would be amazing. When it snows in Metro Atlanta it doesn’t snow a lot. The most snow that we’ve gotten throughout the past couple of years is 1.5 inches. Outside of the snow here doesn’t last for long because our weather tends to be all over the place. One second it’s cold and the next second the sun could be blazing. All of that aside, I do dream of one day having a white Christmas. I would love to have one. - Do you want to build a snowman?
I would love to build a snowman one day. I would also like to make a snow angel but that wasn’t the question.
