Let me start by saying, Happy Mean Girls Day to all those who celebrate! I can’t post on October 3rd without meaning Mean Girls Day. Next, welcome to Blogtober day 3.

Let’s Talk About Burn Books
In honor of Mean Girls Day, I’m sharing what would be in my Burn Book if I owned one. It felt like a fun idea because a few months ago, I created a character who owned a Burn Book. I had fun writing the application based on that for her.
Before we get into it, a Burn Book is a strapbook-style book that was popular in the movie Mean Girls. In the movie, the popular mean girl clique, The Plastics (mainly Regina George) used it to spread gossip, rumors, and other judgemental and mean things about people they didn’t like.
What Would My Burn Book Look Like
Let’s start with what I would want my burn book to look like. First and foremost, my Burn Book would be the same size as the Burn Book in the movie. I love small journals, but I find a huge journal more fitting for something like a Burn Book. At least, that’s the way I see it. Secondly, I love writing, and a small page wouldn’t do it for me.
What would it look like aesthetically? It would be rose gold. Rose gold has replaced my love for pink through the years. If I’m going to have a Burn Book, it should be my favorite color. Instead of hearts, stars would be plastered on the front and back. I would also include things like music notes and stickers of other things I love.
As for the title of the Burn Book, there are so many names that come to mind. However, I would probably call it something like Stars & Scribbles. I could also incorporate other things I love in the title, such as music or butterflies. I’d have to brainstorm some titles.
What I Would Include In My Burn Book
If I had a burn book, it wouldn’t be a traditional book like the one in Mean Girls. It would be a burn book where I explore events in my life, emotional moments, things I love, and everything in between. I’m unsure how I’ll deal with each page because I can be indecisive, but at the same time, I feel I would go with the flow. Sometimes a page might have multiple thoughts on it, while others would have one. I do know or feel as if I would have titles at the top or along the side somewhere.
Here are some of the things my Burn Book would include if I had one:
